Tokyo: Narita International Airport

Narita International Airport is the main international airport serving Japan, its capital Tokyo and the main Japanese island of Honshu.

Location

Narita International is located approximately 57 km (35 miles) east of Tokyo Station, in the suburban city of Narita.

Driving directions, a schematic expressway map, a schematic plan of the airport approaches and a link to real-time traffic information are all available on the airport’s access information page.

Contact details

A contact form plus information and contact numbers on almost any Narita-related subject you could think of can be found on Narita Airport’s Inquiries & Feedback page.

Official website: http://www.narita-airport.jp/en/

Facilities for disabled people

Narita International has a remarkably comprehensive section on its website about barrier-free facilities and services, listing virtually anything you care to think of that could be done to make the airport accessible. The section’s easy to find from the home page, but here’s a link anyway:

Hotels near Narita International Airport

CanDoCanGo (CAN!) is affiliated with Booking.com, one of the best known names in the online hotel reservations business. Cut down on your searching time by going straight to our page of hotels near Narita International Airport with facilities for disabled guests.

In surprising contrast to the airport, there seems to be only a very few hotels in the vicinity of the airport (there are many more in Tokyo itself) which have specially adapted facilities and rooms for disabled guests. (The information is included in the “Hotel Facilities” section of each individual hotel.) Using Booking.com’s user-friendly search box also enables you to specify a host of other options, such as your preferred chain, hotels of a particular character or style, and even what distance from the airport you require.
