Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino airport (Aeroporto “Leonardo da Vinci” di Fiumicino) is Italy’s premier airport and Europe’s sixth busiest where traffic is concerned. 36.3 million passengers passed through the airport’s three terminals in 2010, with 150 destinations worldwide served by 160 airlines and tour operators.
Location
Leonardo da Vinci Airport is 32 km south-west of Rome and can be easily accessed from the Grande Raccordo Anulare (A90 orbital motorway) and by taking the highway A91 Rome-Fiumicino. From there the route is very straightforward by following the clearly marked signposts to the terminals indicating domestic and international departures.
