FCC Angkor, Siem Reap

This hotel officially does not offer facilities for disabled people. However, it is manageable for wheelchair users providing you get a ground-floor room and you have a helper to get you up and down the one small step to get you into the room. The door to the room is wide and you can also wheel yourself into the toilet. However, the shower is inside the bath so you will need to make some other arrangements for washing.

The hotel restaurant is at ground level at the front of the hotel and a short distance from the rooms. Unfortunately, there are no toilets suitable for wheelchair users. This needn’t be a problem for hotel residents as you can always pop back to your room if necessary.

I would not recommend this hotel for wheelchair users. However, we were already staying there when I injured my ankle and required a wheelchair for a few days and we didn’t find it necessary to move to another hotel. Depending on the extent of your mobility, you may find this boutique hotel suitable for a short stay in Siem Reap.

So far, we haven’t been very impressed with Siem Reap as a destination for disabled people (see our review of Siem Reap’s Pub Street) but we’ll keep looking. Please write in if you find anywhere that is accessible.
