Lisbon Airport
Lisbon Portela Airport, also known as Lisbon Airport, is Portugal’s biggest airport. The airport handles 15 million-plus passengers in a calendar year. Some 55 airlines and tour operators serve approximately 125 destinations across Portugal and internationally.
Location
Located 7 km (4½ miles) north of the city centre, right next to the Segunda Rua Circular ring road at Junctions 2 and 3.
From the city centre:
Take the Avenida Almirante Reis and Avenida Almirante Gago Coutinho northwards to the airport. Alternatively, the IP7/E-01 northwards, then the Segunda Rua Circular eastbound to Junction 3.
From the north-west:
Head towards Lisbon on the A8/IC1 as far as Junction 1, then follow the slip road towards the IC17 eastbound. At Junction 14, take the E-01 Segunda Rua Circular southbound and leave at Junction 2 for the airport.
All other directions:
Head towards Lisbon until you reach the Segunda Rua Circular, then follow that road in the appropriate direction – southwards if travelling from the east or north-east, northwards/eastwards if travelling from the west.
