Kuala Lumpur: Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT)

Kuala Lumpur International Airport’s Low Cost Carrier Terminal, also known as LCCT–KLIA, KLIA-LCCT or even just LCCT, was built to handle the growing passengers of the low cost airlines and especially AirAsia. Flights to and from the LCCT have low taxes and low landing and handling fees due to the terminal’s “no-frills” design, which has gained a lot of popularity in the last few years. There are plans for a permanent LCC terminal at Kuala Lumpur International Airport capable of accommodating up to 30 million passengers per year to be opened in the near future.

Location

LCCT is located about 20 km from the main terminal building of Kuala Lumpur International Airport, about 50 km (31 miles) from Kuala Lumpur itself.

Travellers who require special assistance such as wheelchair services are advised to contact their airlines either while at the airport or preferably prior to their visit to make arrangements prior to their visit to LCCT.

Hotels near LCCT

CanDoCanGo (CAN!) is affiliated with Booking.com, one of the best known names in the online hotel reservations business. Cut down on your searching time by going straight to our page of hotels near LCCT with facilities for disabled guests.

Perhaps surprisingly given the airport’s size and importance, there aren’t that many hotels available which have specially adapted facilities and rooms for disabled guests – probably as a consequence of the airport’s distance from Kuala Lumpur. Even so, there are still about a dozen to choose from. (The information is included in the “Hotel Facilities” section of each individual hotel.) Using Booking.com’s user-friendly search box also enables you to specify a host of other options, such as your preferred chain, hotels of a particular character or style, and even what distance from the airport you require.
