São Paulo: São Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport
São Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport (since 2001, São Paulo/Guarulhos – Governor André Franco Montoro International Airport in full, or Aeroporto Internacional de São Paulo/Guarulhos (Cumbica) Governador André Franco Montoro) serves the metropolitan area of Greater São Paulo and surrounding parts of southern Brazil. It’s the country’s largest airport in terms of passenger movements and, in fact, Latin America’s biggest too.
Location
São Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport is located in the Cumbica district of Guarulhos (its informal nickname locally is Cumbica International Airport), 25 km (15 miles) north-east of São Paulo city centre. It has its own motorway leading direct to it, the Rodovia Hélio Smidt.
